Tony Pulis has managed to bolster the Argyle squad before today's 5pm transfer deadline. The signing of former Wigan midfielder Jason Jarrett on loan from Norwich City will now be Argyle's last, until January at least.
Pulis knows the 26-year old from their time together at Stoke City, when Jarrett was on loan from the Latics last season. "I took Jason on loan when I was at Stoke", the Pilgrims' boss remarked, "he was outstanding for us, I hope he can do the same here".
Jarrett joined the Canaries on a free transfer in the summer, after rarely figuring in Paul Jewell's promotion-winning side. He will be hoping to start in central midfield on Saturday instead of the suspended Paul Wotton, who will serve a one game ban after collecting five yellow cards.
J.J. will certainly be hoping to rekindle his career in his time with Plymouth. He is the second player to come to Home Park on loan this week, the first being young centre-half Elliott Ward from West Ham.
