The England Under 20 international striker was signed by Greens boss Bobby Williamson on an inital one month loan deal at the beginning of February but the two clubs have agreed to extend the loan to the end of the season.
"I like him. He's a good kid and he works very hard at his game. I've been impressed with what he's done at the club so far, on and off the park and on the training-ground," the Argyle boss told the clubs official website.
"He gives everybody a spark. He's got that infectious youthfulness which rubs off on people, myself included.
"He's been a breath of fresh air and I hope that stays with him for the rest of his career. I'm sure there will be ups and downs, but, at this moment in time, his career is looking very much on the up.
"I hope he goes from strength to strength, and enjoys his time here, and I hope it will hold him in good stead with his future career at Southampton."
