Plymouth are on the back of a 2 - 1 win at Watford while Palace lost in midweek at Wolves.
Sturrock knows that Palace will be looking to get a result after their defeat in the Midlands.
"It's going to be a very difficult because they are a wounded animal. They are under-achieving compared to their standards last season," Sturrock told the Evening Herald.
However, Sturrock is looking for the same again from his players and he thinks they can get a result.
"We have got to take confidence and heart from that (Watford) game, and show the same hard work and attitude against Palace and see what happens.
"We have set our standards now and we have seen what we can achieve. I'm very hopeful these players will go and do it again."
