Preston have injury worries.
They are likely to be without Callum Davidson (knee), Michael Hart (ankle) and Richard Chaplow (hamstring) for the clash with Argyle.
Goalkeeper Wayne Henderson (back) and defenders Liam Chilvers (Achilles) and Neal Trotman (hernia) are also all on the sidelines.
Striker Chris Brown is a doubt after he was withdrawn against the Royals with a relapse of the sciatica problem which kept him out of the first nine games of the season.
Youl Mawene (knee) and Billy Jones (stomach bug) both played at the weekend despite being far from 100 per cent and are likely to be asked to play through the pain barrier against the Pilgrims.
