Gilmartin blow for Pilgrims
Jake Cole is set to start for Plymouth against Dagenham after fellow goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin was ruled out for three or four weeks with a hamstring injury.
The former Watford shot-stopper had to be substituted in the 0-0 draw with Accrington and replaced by Cole, who looks set to get the nod against John Still's men.
But manager John Sheridan will assess Reading loanee Gozie Ugwu who is 50/50 to feature because of an ongoing ankle injury. The striker, who had a spell on loan at Yeovil earlier this season, is yet to make his Pilgrims bow.
Fellow forward Warren Feeney remains out while Nick Chadwick is still suspended.
Transfer deadline day saw Robbie Williams and Rhys Griffiths leave Home Park by mutual consent as they look for regular football while Sheridan added Crystal Palace winger Jason Banton to his squad.
The 20-year-old former Liverpool man arrived at Home Park on Thursday and will go straight into the matchday squad as Argyle look to pull away from the npower League Two drop zone.
Dagenham could hand a second debut to Ben Strevens.
The 32-year-old striker returned to the club he left in 2009 on transfer deadline day and will go straight into the squad.
He will compete with Jake Reed for a starting spot up front.
The Daggers have lost their last two games but boss John Still is unlikely to make drastic changes.
Still's squad remains injury and suspension-free, with the only absentee being striker Josh Scott after he joined Ebbsfleet on loan on Thursday.
His place on the bench could go to Italian forward Gianluca Gracco who signed a permanent deal for the club this week. He joined in December on non-contract terms but is still waiting to make his Daggers debut.
