The 47-year-old has confirmed that he ahs been affered the posst vacated by Bobby Williamson's sacking at the beginning of the month.
"Plymouth have offered it to me and I hope something will be sorted out within the next 24 hours,'' Pulis has said.
''Talks have been ongoing with Plymouth and Paul Stapleton for a while now and I'm very hopeful of us reaching an agreement.
"We still need to sort the situation out with Stoke as I am still being paid by them, but so far they have been very good so fingers crossed.
''Plymouth are a big club and the opportunity to go there and manage in The Championship again was a big pull. It's something I am really looking forward to."
