Plymouth Argyle striker Bradley Wright-Phillips is in talks with Reading about a possible move to the Championship club, BBC Radio Devon understands.The 25-year-old, who has scored 13 goals this season, was not included in Plymouth's squad to face Bournemouth in their League One fixture on Saturday.
Wright-Phillips joined Argyle on a free transfer from Southampton in July 2009.
Plymouth need to raise money to pay off an unpaid tax bill of around £500,000 to HM Revenue & Customs.
Earlier in the week, Wright-Phillips was the subject of a failed bid by Premier League side Blackpool.
Blackpool are believed to have offered a fee in the region of £20,000-£30,000 for the League One top scorer.
Plymouth recently sold winger
Craig Noone
and defender
Reda Johnson
in an attempt to clear their debts with HM Revenue & Customs.
