Reid, who was forced to watch the game from the stands, said: "That's as good as we've played - we were fantastic and thoroughly deserved to win the game.
"I can't remember Dave Button making many saves, which is a credit to the defenders - but you defend as a team and we defended really well.
"For the first goal, I was in the stand shouting `pass it' - mind you I shouted `pass it' for all three goals so thank goodness I'm in the stand and they're not listening to me! I'm better up there, I think.
"The quality of the strikes was fantastic - you won't get three better goals anywhere. It was a great result for us and a great evening for us. It's a difficult place to come - as their record shows they're a good side, and that speaks volumes of the performance."
