Plymouth manager Peter Reid has hailed striker Joe Mason after his goal in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Walsall. Teenager Mason had put the Pilgrims ahead at the Banks's Stadium with a fine solo effort before strikes from Paul Marshall and Reuben Reid condemned Argyle to defeat. Reid took the contribution of Mason, 19, as a positive of the performance and believes the frontman has a bright future ahead of him. "I thought our goal was a really good goal," Reid told the club's official website. "It was a great touch by the boy, who looks a real decent prospect, and a great finish. "He's bright; he's got a good touch; he's got a good feel; he's intelligent; and he doesn't look the strongest, but he's wiry. "He's a lad that's certainly got ability."
