Goals from Antony Sweeney and Sam Collins gave the hosts a 2-0 victory.
Reid, whose side are back on the bottom of the table, said: "It was a tough afternoon. We gave as good as we got but it didn't break for us. When we had a shot blocked on the line I had a feeling we wouldn't score, but they took their chances.
"The pitch isn't the greatest but we played some decent football at times.
"The first goal, from our point of view, started with a foul on Jim Paterson but it fell for them and it was a goal we could have stopped. The second goal was a sloppy one.
"We haven't defended well. If you don't do that and give away sloppy goals it's hard. We kept going and possibly deserved a point without taking our chances. We could have defended both goals and didn't do it. The ball didn't go for us and it's a bad result."
