Postmatch reaction to Reading 2 - 0 Plymouth.
The result left Plymouth still searching for their first win of the season but manager Paul Sturrock was not too downhearted.
He said: "We are not going to meet a Reading every day and we have got one or two players who have yet to get settled in before I know what my strongest 11 is.
"My team is a group of waifs and strays at the moment. The killer was to go away from home and lose a goal as early as we did but we didn't crumble, kept at it and we had one or two chances late in the game."
Meanwhile, Coppell confirmed he would try to prevent any more players following Dave Kitson and Nicky Shorey out of the exit door.
He said: "We are still vulnerable. After two weeks of results Premier League teams might decide they have to do something but anyone who leaves will do so on our terms."
Steve Coppell only wanted to talk about double goalscorer Ibrahima Sonko
Coppell said: "It was good to see him out there and scoring goals.
"Ibrahima made a bad judgement call last season - he did it for himself. A situation developed but it was resolved when I spoke to him at the end of last season.
"Sonko nearly didn't play here because of a knee injury. He only passed a fitness test before the game."
