Argyle are without a win after three games and he doesn't want the team to pick itself.
"It's really up to them to turn my head, make sure that when they get in the team, they stay in the team," he told BBC Radio Devon.
"On the training ground, the first opportunity the players get they have to take.
"The players have been respective of that and I'm hopeful we'll get a response from them."
