Ryan Brunt strike puts Plymouth clear at top of tableRyan Brunt struck the winning goal as Plymouth overcame struggling west country rivals Yeovil 1-0 to move two points clear at the top of Sky Bet League Two.With Northampton's match at York being postponed, Argyle had the chance to open up some daylight at the summit and they managed it thanks to Brunt's 58th-minute strike in front of a 12,821 Boxing Day crowd at Home Park.Glovers goalkeeper Chris Weale had made a string of saves to keep Plymouth at bay but he found Craig Tanner's 25-yard rocket too hot to hold and Brunt profited, swooping to smash the bouncing ball home from close range.Matt Dolan's speculative long-range effort for the visitors was the closest either side came to breaking the deadlock during a goalless first half.Dolan's rocket looped over Plymouth goalkeeper Luke McCormick but bounced back into play off the bar.At the other end Weale was in top form, making a superb punched clearance from Tanner's inswinging 27th-minute free-kick before making a superb reaction stop to keep out Jake Jervis'goal-bound strike from an acute angle.Weale was also equal to Jervis' thumping 49th-minute free-kick, turning the ball around his post as Argyle upped the pressure, but he could not prevent Brunt from netting the winner just before the hour
