Plymouth claim Crewe comeback win to strengthen title hopes at top of League Two
Super substitute Nate Blissett scored a brilliant 79th-minute header as Plymouth Argyle came back to beat Crewe 2-1 at Home Park and take over at the League Two summit.
Blissett, who came on as a second-half replacement for Jake Jervis, powered home his header from a Graham Carey cross from the left to signal an incredible three-minute turnaround.
Target man Ryan Taylor volleyed in David Fox's deft, controlled strike from just inside the box after 74 minutes.
Taylor spun to redirect Fox's shot into the far corner and out of the reach of Crewe goalkeeper Ben Garratt.
Garratt had only just made a superb save to deny Blissett, and force a corner and - from the set-piece - Argyle levelled.
Crewe dominated the first half after taking an early lead against their already-promoted hosts.
James Jones volleyed the Alex 1-0 up within six minutes as Argyle failed to clear George Cooper's corner.
Jones, 20 yards out, took the opportunity to drill the ball into the corner past Luke McCormick, who made a brilliant save to deny Cooper in the 20th minute as the reds pressed.
